Aaron Manor is looking for RN Supervisors for our family-operated nursing home in Fairport, NY. There are unique differences to being part of a family-owned and operated business. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures staff demonstrates adequate documentation and are following documentation requirements, policy, and procedure.
  • Demonstrates adequate and appropriate documentation in the resident’s record, follows documentation expectations and policy/procedure.
  • Makes rounds on nursing unit.
  • Treats residents and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of residents and their families.
  • Follows direction from DON, maintains a positive professional attitude.
  • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the resident and family regarding pain management. Communicates to medical and IDT any time resident’s trigger for pain, ensures residents pain is addressed.
  • Communicates any care plan changes to staff, residents and families to ensure care planning interventions are effective and followed.
  • Demonstrates ability to delegate tasks appropriately, supervise lpn’s and certified nursing assistants, exhibits follow through and follow up with delegated tasks.
  • Provides RN assessments of resident required for accident/incidents, acute changes in condition, admissions, MDS and care planning.
  • Organizes workload, completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provides medication to resident as needed, is able and willing to safely complete a med pass when ever needed or directed. Follows the seven (7) medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
  • Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
  • Coordinates and directs resident care and education by monitoring residents’ condition and assisting licensed nurses to ensure changes in condition are identified and immediately addressed with medical, IDT and families. Promotes the highest level of quality of life for residents ensuring a safe environment free from harm.
  • Exhibits genuine interest in and appreciation of adults in the later years of life. Advocates for the residents of the facility.
  • Is a motivated, independent individual who can organize workload so that all functions are completed appropriately.

Regulatory Requirements:

·Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

·Current Registered Nurse licensure in State of New York.

·Current BCLS certification.
